Sheffield United won’t give up fighting the, um, good fight

Sheffield United are like a bad venereal disease. They just won’t go away. No wonder Hitler is pissed at them. The club that fought more valiantly to stay in the Premier League in the courtroom than it did on the pitch is back at it again today, taking legal action so that they can receive compensation from those no good evildoers from West Ham.

Having suffered defeat the last legal go around, Sheffield United wants to go to arbitration so they can receive the Premier League megabucks that were stolen from them when the Hammers broke the rules by signing Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. Said the club in a statement:

“We are seeking substantial compensation for our relegation from the Premier League.

We have always said that we will do everything in our power to secure justice for Sheffield United and restore the integrity of English football which has been tarnished by this affair.”

Continuing to file legal motions on an issue that most people would rather soon forget is certainly one way to restore the integrity of English football. If that fails they could always sue their players. After all, they are the ones who really cost the club millions.
