Sir Alex Ferguson knows ‘who’s who in hip-hop’
By: Bob | March 1st, 2007
Talk about the Odd Couple. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has invited Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to attend one of his upcoming ‘Puff Puff Pass The Snoop’ gigs. The man who wanted to take lessons from Beckham and whose loyalties lie with Arsenal counts Sir Alex as one of his pals.
In addition to extending an invite to attend the concert, which also features Chelsea supporter Snoop Dogg, Diddy apparently sent Sir Alex two cases of cologne. In the coming weeks if Cristiano Ronaldo refuses to hug his coach after he scores a goal now you’ll know why.
“P Diddy is friends with Alex Ferguson and the players,” insists a member of the rapper’s entourage. “Someone told him that [Man United defender] Rio Ferdinand liked to play his music before games and that Sir Alex preferred classical. So he met them and Sir Alex was very friendly. P Diddy would like to see him in the audience.”
They met in Copenhagen in October. Afore a wide-eyed Wayne Rooney, Fergie gave Diddy a Man U shirt. “He [Fergie] said I was an honorary member of the club,” explained Diddy. “He understands who’s who in hip-hop.”
God how I wish I could live in the universe inhabited by rap stars for just one day.

I have no interest in his music but if he can convince Alex Ferguson to attend a hip hop concert Diddy is my new hero.
