Soccer Teams don’t Make Music Videos like they used to

By: Bob | July 6th, 2007

If anyone ever tells you that life in the 1980s was better than it is today they are absolutely correct. Cocaine was an acceptable form of medicine, John Huges movies played in the theaters and promotional videos such as this one for the San Diego Shockers Sockers indoor team were watched with a straight face. Those were the days. The Shockers might not be around today, but it is safe to say that their musical talent stands the test of time.

My sources tell me that this video is the reason an MLS franchise hasn't been awarded to San Diego yet.

After watching that video I think Shockers would have been a much better name. Thanks for the correction.
