Stoke City Boss doesn’t Like the Internets

royal-yacht.jpgYou might think that money is ruining modern football or maybe you think all of the international players are, but the real culprit is the Internets. Damn the Internets. Not only is it distracting players from their professional duties but it is also hurting the strategic brilliance of managers.

Stoke City coach Tony Pulis is miffed with his own fans for firing up their computers and spilling the beans about his double secret plans.

Pulis said: “I just wish supporters realise they are giving the opposition a huge advantage.

“I made changes before the Preston game that no one could possibly have guessed. But the fact is they might have known our starting line-up lock, stock and barrel because I’m told it was on the internet well before the game.

“I love fans coming down to watch us train but if we’re working on our shape before a game they’ve got to respect our wish to keep certain things under wraps.

“If not, we’ll have no option but to train on the pitch at the Britannia.”

Pulis might be on to something. Training on a rolling ship might help his players prepare form some of the pitches they play on in the English Championship. If they equip the boat with guns they could also be protected against those dreaded formation-stealing spy planes.

If the Birmingham coaching staff happens to be reading this, be prepared for Stoke City to roll out a very special 2-3-2-3 formation when they play you on Sunday. Just don’t tell Pulis that you read it here.
