Sven’s New Team?

By: Bob | October 25th, 2006

seven-in-israel.jpgNo, out-of-work manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is not the new boss of the red and white under-8 team. That would be child abuse. Instead, the former England boss is working to bring peace to the Middle East, which is almost as easy a task as bringing a World Cup title home to England. Eriksson was in Israel this past weekend promoting peace between Israeli and Palestinian children as part of the efforts organized by the Peres Center for Peace (Samuel Eto’o was there too. Places in conflict always get the coolest visitors). Before you get the idea that Eriksson is ready to be a full time peace envoy, you can breathe easier knowing that he is said to be desperate to get back in the coaching game again soon. West Ham, anyone?
