Sweden Scores a Laugher of a Goal

By: Bob | June 7th, 2007

It has been quite the week for bizarre incidents involving Sweden. The video above comes from yesterday’s 5-0 thrashing of Iceland. As you can see, the Icelandic defender thought he was called for a penalty even though he wasn’t and he passes it right to the Swedish attacker. That is when the laughter breaks out on the field and in the broadcasting booth.

The other great highlight from international action Wednesday was the owl that delayed the Finland and Belgium match for six minutes. Reminds me of the squirrel that invaded the Champions League last year.

Anyone besides me more impressed with Youtubes' new layout than a Swede celebrating the cheap shot of the century?
  • Reminds you of "that squirrel"? Come on, Bob. Tommy Smyth told you his name was Bushie, and no amount of trying to un-hear that will work.

    Believe me, I've tried.
