The Best of Bob: The Sex Tapes

In addition to being a football maniac and a freakishly productive blogger, our Dear Departed Bob was also at the cutting edge of sex tape journalism — I have it good authority that the first thing he did every morning was dutifully search the internets for anything involving “sex” and “footballers.” Not, of course, because he was interested, but rather out of a deep, altruistic desire to keep other people from having to do that search. (He was nothing if not generous, our Bob.) Not surprisingly, he found some doozies.

My personal favorite is the Deco-cheating story (they “acted like animals!”) that turned out to be a tape-less non-starter, but that’s more because of my personal weakness for the Portuguese than anything else. The alleged Sunderland group sex episode proved wildly popular with the Googlers, as did any mention of what Ronaldo’s (sort of) ex-wife got up to in and near the ocean with her skeevy boyfriend.

Those of us trying to fill Bob’s shoes will, of course, do our best to keep you abreast (huh huh) of any future activities along these lines, but his legacy is going to be awfully hard to match.
