Cheeky, I don't like diving either (and I'm Brazilian) but what I can't stand even more is the hypocrisy in England. There's no moral outrage against the likes of Chris Morgan, a neanderthal thug at Sheffield United who puts opponents into comas, nearly killing them, and breaks ribs and other body parts in off the ball incidents regularly. There's no moral outrage against English players who are coddled by the English press regularly. This is what I find thoroughly disgusting. The referee was stupid last night. I'm a gooner and I HATE seeing an Arsenal player dive, esp. Eduardo. It's why a lot of gooners don't like Eboue. In one moment Eduardo has totally destroyed all the goodwill he generated in England and he and his teammates will pay for it in the future the next time he's involved in an incident that involves a real penalty. But fixating on this one incident, demanding bans, as if it's somehow unique, esp. when in past seasons we've suffered from goals scored from serial divers like Cronaldo and Joe Cole who went unpunished really beggars belief. I'm all for punishment of diving as long as it's consistent. I'll accept Eduardo getting banned for a game or two but I won't accept it if that punishment is suddenly ignored the next time Wayne Rooney or Steven Gerrard or Cronaldo or anyone else goes to ground in a CL game.
