The Experts’ Top 20 Goals of All Time
By: Bob | July 9th, 2007Tis the season to make lists. World Soccer magazine has joined in the fun by conducting a global poll of experts to determine the best teams of all time, the best games in history, and the best goals ever scored. The unidentified experts in this case actually do a pretty good job with their selections. Instead of just looking at names on a list, let’s do something crazy like watch videos of the names on the list doing the thing that put their names on the list to begin with. Thanks for hunting down those goals, Bob. Lately I’ve been elevating that Zizou goal on my own personal list that exists solely in my head.
When in the video Zizou freezes at the top of the box, waiting…waiting…for the ball to come down…crack! It’s as if he saw the goal materialize the minute the cross left the ground.

#14 team overall and #7 club team. Not too bad for those ‘67 Celts, eh?

I think I got that England - Germany match with the Müller goal recorded on DVD. I’ll see if I can rip it and then I’ll make a big fuss about it on the Bundesliga Blog.

I saw a George Weah goal on youtube, when he played for Milan where he litterally got the ball at the corner flag and dribbled the entire length of the field. It may have been against another serie a team that had been bought off and not a world cup or european final, but i still think that it rates a spot on your list.

Sorry, this list is BS. I wont say this is the best ever, but it should be among the top 5, and it’s not anywhere in this crappy list, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDakJ9xCK-g
