The Greatest Ever Sitter Miss of the Week. Ever.

Words, of course, fail.

I’m going to give this sitter-miss the highest compliment available: I cannot believe it to be true. I just can’t. That is by some margin the easiest sitter I can ever recall seeing missed. Sure, we laugh at a number but most of those are at the pace of a game when anything can, and often does, happen. This is some shout beyond that. His reaction seems a bit too nonchalant, while no one is rolling around on the floor peeing themselves in laughter. This, I think, is the only possible outcome to a sitter miss of such magnitude.

The “non-league legend”, according to the YouTube description, even has a wiki. From it we learn he was one of the masterminds behind that Havant & Waterlooville squad from the FA Cup of two years ago, and you wonder a little bit why he wasn’t given a proper league chance.

Maybe the video is true then.

The excellent goal on the video is from a match in October, and he is the team's leading scorer this season.

Apparently, from reading comments on youtube (not the best source), the game ended 5-3, and the miss was in stoppage time. Additionally, the goal in the video was from a different game.
