which other shade of green do you want Laurie, the Seahawks one??…that is (Ick)^2 ;D …I think this is the one of the more better looking green shades if they have to stick with that color….this might be a pretty awesome jersey with the color if Kappa would have made those tight ones (ala Roma) but this is adidas…still better than i expected out of Seattle

I’m sure I like the shade of green myslef. Maybe this will be the away kit and hour home kit will be white. I was hoping for a more darker/foredt green. At least we will have a team come next season!!!

Green is good since it’s not taken by any existing MLS teams, I guess. Too many red, white and blue teams if you ask me. But I hate that it seems like MLS orders their jerseys from Eurosport, like a freaking pub team. Can’t they get Adidas to make some original designs for them?

    I agree with Laurie.

Strong, deep, primary colors are where it’s at… pale colors look passive and weak.

Jon, I’m with you. Have you seen the Marseille jerseys. Peach and baby blue. Talk about wimpy. The goalkeeper wears this gorgeous navy-and-bright-orange thing that I wish the entire team would adopt.

Jesus Christ, two main page posts about the sounders new kits in the same day? Laurie, did you know David Beckham played a game today?

Lucas, if I tried hard I think I could put some shirtless photos in too, just to really put my stamp on the main page for the day. :-)

Laurie, there’ve been two posts since this one, and neither of them are about these gorgeous new flounders kits; you’d better rectify that and do another one.

While I’m in bitch-mode: why does the seattle offside blog link from the USL page?

Any word on the rest of the kit (shorts/socks)? Going all green, just the top, etc.?

Damn Lucas … I know its been a tough time for the Timbers this week, but we might all need to take a quick breather. As Mr. Burns says, out with the jive, in with the love.

But yeah, Flounders news is on notice for at least a week. :)

Ian, if the Timbers went 15 years without a loss and won the title every year and moved ot MLS and won that, the CCL and the Club World Cup in Japan, it would never dampen my loathing for that team up north.

I can’t prevent my hatred any more than I can my love (hate/love are two sides of a very thin coin anyway). If yous guys don’t want me venoming on the seattle posts you’re going to have to ban me from this site.

Lucas, I’ve been wondering about the Seattle link to the USL page as well. All Steve signed on for was Sounders FC. I think we need to get a real Sounders blogger for their last year. Perhaps I’ll go see if any readers at GoalSeattle are interested.

Fair enough Lucas. Speaking for myself, I hate rivals more when my own side is doing worse, because when things are good, I’m so fixated on absorbing as much of the (temporary) goodness as possible, that there’s not as much room for venom. All the clubs I support had a rough season in Europe, and Timbers are in a bad patch here, so right now, I’m in hate mode. Everybody hates differently.

So how about those new kits! Pretty atrocious! I guess with the Stuporsonics moving to the prairie they’ve got to fill the “Ugly” slot in Jet City, eh?

It’s possible that the reason no team in MLS has ever worn a dark shade of green is that league HQ frowns on its similarity to the color of the grass. Maybe they don’t want teams to be camouflaged? Just a thought.

btw, It’s good to see the Mutiny back. Kidding!! Actually I like it a lot.
