Ferrari was so close last season, Tim, I remember him standing by the fourth official to make his Serie A debut when the whistle blew to end the match, it was brutal.

Chris, it was the first thing that came up when I did an innocent photo search! I didn't even use his name!

It doesn't surprise me that Cagliari sign an American because Cagliari owner Cellino has a house in Miami and spends a lot of time there.

You just couldn't resist putting up a picture of a guy owned by Inter, one who doesn't even play for Cagliari anymore, could you?

Just let this kid know he's going to be in Serie B very very soon.

So he will join Gabriel Ferrari of Samdoria to become the second American employed by a Seire A club? Ferrari hasn't made any league appearances, just some primavera matches and a substitute appearance in a cup match last spring.

I hope things work out for him - it is a bold move and could be the best for his overall development. And I commend Cagliari for taking this approach - it is my opinion that American youngsters are undervalued in the world football market. If you can find one that can play, you can do it on the cheap as compared with a South American/African/European youngster. Plus, American goalkeepers have an excellent track record of success in Europe, much more so than the field players.

Good luck to David!
