Bob, it's a good thought and it's something that goes around the Spanish press during the end of the season each and every year. Phil Ball discusses it in his good-as-always column:

<a href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=432179&root=europe&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab3pos2&cc=5901" rel="nofollow">Dangerous Liasons</a>

There is little to suggest that anything like this actually happens, but, of course, you never know what's real and what's not in this post-Juvegate world...

The bigger question going around right now in Spain is if Atletico threw their match against Barca at the weekend just so Real Madrid would have a worse chance of taking home the league title...For my money (what little of it there is) it's all a load of crap. Except maybe the Osasuna-Sociedad-Bilbao mayhem at the bottom.
