By: Bob | November 9th, 2006
In a scene that brings back memories from the end of the World Cup quartefinal match between Argentina and Germany this summer, players from Argentina and Uruguay engage in fisticuffs following Uruguay’s dramatic 2-1 win in the Beach Soccer World Cup quartefinals. The win means that Uruguay will face France in the semifinals on Saturday, while the host nation and tournament favorite Brazil will meet Portugal in the other semifinal. Gratuitous photo of Brazilian dancer.
UPDATE: An even better picture of the Argentina players threatening security with plastic chairs. Who knew Beach Soccer was so much fun?
UPDATE 2: Here’s the story about the brawl on the beach.
