This Honda really swerves

Undoubtedly you stayed up all night watching the youth teams from Japan and Hong Kong play in an Olympic qualifier so my apologies if you have seen this swerving free kick goal by Japan’s Keisuke Honda already. Either there was a really strong gust of wind midway during the ball’s flight or he struck the ball superbly. It looks like it stunned his teammates. That is no way to celebrate a great free kick goal. Japan won the match, which means we probably won’t see that dream final between Hong Kong and Taiwan in Beijing in the summer of 2008.
