Three Man, Twelve Goal Show

Four goals. Pretty rare feat. But having two players score four apiece in the same league on the same day is exceptionally crazy, especially when considering the league is of the quality of La Liga. Now feel free to add a third to the list of dudes who scored four in a game during this weekend’s fixture list, because Vagner Love, man in demand – a hideously braided one at that – scored another four for CSKA Moscow today.

So that’s Samuel Eto’o, Gonzalo Higuain and Vagner Love – all extremely gifted and in legitimate leagues – scoring four. Not too shabby. Higuain’s was the most dramatic, throwing Real on his back in a 4-3 win (two coming after Sergio Ramos’ red), but Papa Eto’o’s 4 in the first half easily gets the longest of bows. Well done. Higuain’s one man show up top (a couple penalties thrown in – one on the rebound), with Sammy’s and Vagner’s combined 8 below.

Eto’o v Valladolid (6-0)

Love v FC Moscow (4-1)

Good think FC Moscow got on the board. There was a horrendous Love 4 – FC Moscow Love joke brewing somewhere in there.
