Tony Pulis Thinks Foreigners Are Divers
By: chris | January 20th, 2009
One of the best things about football is brilliant quotes are few and far between. Mind-boggling quotes coming as the result of a massive brain fart? That’s like finding hay in a haystack. Kind of like Tony Pulis’ feelings regarding Michael Ballack’s Jacques Cousteau antics against his Stoke lads over the weekend. Only his feelings drifted a bit past Ballack and wound up throwing all foreigners under the bus.
The latest from the “Ah shit, did I just say that?” Files:
“The problem with foreign players is they go down and stay down,” he told The Sentinel.
“I was born in Wales, I played my football in England and we are different to them I suppose. I am not having a go at him (Ballack), it is just their culture.”
I’ve just got one thing to say to this:
Makelele bought you flippers last Christmas!
(Maybe if he just went with Chelsea’s foreign players it would be a bit easier to sweep under the rug.)
Actually, one more: All Welshmen wear ridiculous hats.
