Transfer Talk: Brazilians on the Move
By: Daryl | July 15th, 2008
Latest transfer talk has all three of the above men involved in some kind of prospective transfer.
Seems Ronaldinho is finally leaving Barcelona for AC Milan in an 18.5 million euros deal. Bad news for Man City fans (apparently they offered way more money) but great news for anyone who’d like to see Ronny, Pato and Kaka playing together regularly. Should we just give Milan the UEFA Cup now?
Chelsea are keen to snap up another Brazilian beginning with R and ending with ho, apparently bidding 60 million euros for Real Madrid’s 24 year old one man stepover-bonanza Robinho. Seems an insane amount of money, but given the choice between Robby and Ronny, I’d take the one with his glory years ahead instead of behind.
Last but not least in Brazilian R..o news, Flamengo claim to have reached an agreement to sign the now out of contract Ronaldo if when the legend recovers from that nasty knee injury. Personally, I’d love to see Ronaldo finish his career gloriously in Brazil so let’s hope he gets the chance to do just that.
Elsewhere in Milan, Jose Mourinho has finally found Massimo Moratti’s chequebook and used it to take Brazilian winger Mancini off Roma’s hands. Should be plenty blanks cheques leftover to keep pestering Chelsea about Frank Lampard though.
In non-Brazilian news: Latest reports have Manchester United and Spurs agreeing a £28 million fee for Dimitar Berbatov, after Utd did a great Real Madrid-esque job of unsettling the Bulgarian striker.

The difference is, Corey, that Berbatov was always expected to move on up if the Spurs couldn’t break into the top four. The writing has been on the wall since he declined a new contract last summer.
On another note, given the choice between Robinho and Ronnie plus 41.5m euros, I’d take the latter.

Berbatov didn’t sign a 5 year contract extension last summer, nor has David Gill gone to the Manchester Evening News almost daily for the last 2 months proclaiming his undying love for Berbatov, nor has Blatter gone and told Tottenham that they should let him leave if he wants to.
But you’re right. It’s totally the same.Posted from

How serendipitous that you found a photo of all three of those Brazilian R guys, all in one picture. (Don’t you love it when that happens?)

It’s a great coincidence, that’s for sure.
