Transfer Talk: David Villa to Man City, Along With Everyone Else
By: Daryl | December 9th, 2008
It’s still only early December, but the heat in the transfer kitchen is rising. And looks like it’s oil money pie for dinner. As January 1st approaches, here’s all the latest transfer talk:
David Villa’s agent is in Manchester talking about a silly money £60m transfer from Valencia to City. That sort of price is almost enough to deter Fergie from hijacking the deal. But only almost.
And the Man City rumours don’t stop there. Mark Hughes could guarantee relegation for Blackburn with a bid for Roque Santa Cruz, and is also linked with Portsmouth’s midfielder/nomad Lassana Diarra. Last, but by no means least, is a rumoured £15million bid for Inter’s Esteban Cambiasso, who might be interested in trading Champions League football for £100,000 per week pocket
Wigan’s Emile Heskey could also be on the move. We just don’t know where to yet. The newspapers scanned the Premier League for a former club and former manager and decided that Villa and Liverpool are keen.
With Mahamadou Diarra out for six to nine months, Real Madrid are planning on signing Fiorentina’s Serbian Zdravko Kuzmanovic to fill a gap in midfield.
AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani says the club want David Beckham and his balls of gold to stay at the San Siro long term. That sound you hear is the value of LA Galaxy season tickets plummeting.
