Real Madrid, as is their custom, inserted a buy-back clause in his deal with Almeria and they apparently love him enough to make a tidy profit at his expense. Just warms the heart, doesn’t it?

Manchester United look to be bringing in Gabriel Obertan from Bordeaux in their bid to buy “the new Thierry Henry”. Except this one doesn’t score goals.

Also worth noting that Bordeaux seem to be more than happy to let him go. That’s not typically the best of signs.
