Transfer Talk: It’s All About The Love.
By: chris | July 6th, 2009
Keirrison is all but Barcelona’s – much to the delight of everyone at former club Palmeiras. But he’s being flogged about as loan fodder in order to catch a bigger fish – either David Villa or Bruno Alves. Must feel nice to be loved. Eventually.
On the other side of the Clasico, Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo could be on his way to Tottenham or Liverpool in a swap deal for Xabi Alonso. Real Madrid, as is their custom, inserted a buy-back clause in his deal with Almeria and they apparently love him enough to make a tidy profit at his expense. Just warms the heart, doesn’t it?
Manchester United look to be bringing in Gabriel Obertan from Bordeaux in their bid to buy “the new Thierry Henry”. Except this one doesn’t score goals.
Also worth noting that Bordeaux seem to be more than happy to let him go. That’s not typically the best of signs.
Speaking of Thierry Henry…

Always worth the reminder.
Aly Cissokho is quite angry over his failed transfer to Milan – angry like a spurned lover. And what do spurned lovers do? They run right into the arms of the most bitterly despised rival they can find. So Inter put in a call.
For sale: Entire Rangers roster.
“What happened in January is still there. Every player is susceptible to a bid. We told them circumstances meant we had to sell a player and we’re still in that situation.”, so says Walter Smith. And if that doesn’t work out, they’ll all put on lace underthingies with 6 inch clear heels and be paraded in front of the Ibrox for a makeshift brothel.
Bordeaux have run in for Pape Diakhate – current Dynamo Kyiv defender, ex of Nancy – after being fooled by a bid to by Drogba’s hair on eBay. Tough luck – not only did they not want him, but they didn’t even want his hair.
Jeroen Verhoeven might go to Ajax as their third keeper. I know what you’re thinking: who cares? You should, and here’s why.
He’ll either wind up the most beloved third keeper in the history of football or muttering to himself in the corner of his padded cell til death.

Hey, don’t be hating on our (fine not our) Gaby. He’s great, and he does have a decent record with the CFA. Besides, he’s attack oriented, not a striker. If you don’t like him Sir Alex, please give him back, pretty please?
