Completely Awesome Nike Ad Spoof

By: Laurie | July 22nd, 2009

Remember Nike’s Guy Ritchie ad from last year (shown below), where the Dutch guy gets scouted and picked up by Arsenal, and all of a sudden he’s rubbing shoulders with guys like Gallas and Zlatan? Not to mention driving expensive cars and juggling gorgeous women?

This one’s better.

From the FA’s ad agency:

The FA are just kicking off a campaign to get people back into 11 a side football, as sadly the amount of teams registering each year is in decline. The film we’ve created went live this week after a sneak peak showing at the England vs Andorra mach at Wembley a few weeks ago. It’s going to be shown on Sky Sports and Soccer Am in the coming weeks.

The film is a cheeky nod to the famous Nike Take It To The Next Level film, instead featuring real teams and what 11 a side football is really like, vomit & Vaseline included…

Perhaps a bit more like what you’ve experienced than the one below?

Genius. I don’t know what’s better, the gutter sluts, vaseline, or vomit.

Laurie, I think The Offside needs its first “projectile vomit” tag. Never know when you might need it in the future.
