Vote for The Offside (but only if you want to)

It’s awards season, and I’m happy to report that – unlike Liverpool – The Offside has a shot at some silverware this season. We were very pleasantly surprised to be nominated for a Bloggie in the Best Sports Weblog category. Not quite sure how or why that happened, but obviously we’re glad that it did. So well done to everyone involved with The Offside and thank you to whoever suggested us for consideration. If you want to vote for us (and I think we’re the only football blog nominated, so a vote for us is a vote for soccer) then you can visit the 2010 Bloggies page here and do so. We’ve also received three nominations in the 2009 Soccerlens Awards. The Offside is up for Best Football Community, which is testament to the (mostly) intelligent and humorous discussion that happens here on these pages. World Cup Blog has been nominated for Best Competition Site, while Lugo’s fine work with South American ladies has earned him a best WAGs blog nod.
