Wow, what a fantastic strike! What’s this Holden chap’s story?

He’s 23 and plays for Houston Dynamo, and the Gold Cup is his first USMNT tournament. It won’t be his last, though. He’s scored two goals so far.
What’s funny is that he’s Scottish-born. The anti-Rossi.

That type of goal is something we’re sorely lacking in the starting 11 of the NT. How many shots did Dempsey, Donovan, Bradley and Feilhaber take from distance that just soared over the goal? It’s nice to see we have someone who knows how to shoot long distance. I think Holden has played well enough this tournament to be on the WC roster, hopefully he continues improving during qualifying!

Aren’t (one of) his parents American though?

I believe that everyone between the age of 22 and 27 was at one point a professional Counter-Strike player.

Btw, commentary for that is so much better than 99% of ESPN’s announcing. I don’t care if he’s goofy or ill-informed, at least he shows emotion. I could sleep through a 10-goal fest with JP Dellacamera and that other guy, they are just so emotionless and boring.

im pretty sure everyone on the offside could provide better commentary than espn

What a beauty from Holden! More bright young American talent.
Oh yeah, it also feels good to be one of the links on the front page
