Sunday’s Junk Pile: Bordeaux’s Sailor Boys
By: Laurie | February 8th, 2009Little tidbits that made me smile this week but weren’t worth a whole post:
First, I just can’t look at Bordeaux’s kits this year without thinking of adorable little boys in sailor suits.
Or maybe it was this one I was thinking of:
Whatever. Don’t forget to salute.
And speaking of Bordeaux, the prettiest goal I saw this week came from Souleymane Diawara of Bordeaux in the Coupe de la Ligue against PSG.
And don’t let the moment be cheapened by the fact that it came in the 88th when PSG was down 1-0 and had thrown everybody forward to look for the equalizer, okay? That high chip over the keeper was still exquisite.
0-2 Diawara 88′
