Weekend Quiz Answers: The Jerseys

This quiz proved that we truly do have readers who are fans of teams from all over the world. I know that I personally would recognize all of the MLS jerseys and most of the Ligue 1 jerseys, but after that it gets a little iffy for me. I was impressed that you guys got them. I also love the way you build on previous answers until somebody finally gets all of the them right at last.

This one belonged to the Montreal Impact of the US and Canada’s USL (the division below MLS.)

This one belonged to FC Metz, currently playing in Ligue 2 in France. I was a little surprised it took so long to get this one — they were in Ligue 1 last year, so all Ligue 1 fans probably saw their kits at least twice in the 2007-08 season.

This one belongs to Benfica of Portugal. (Did the big PT give it away?)

Here we have the Wycombe Wanderers’ jersey from the English Championship. (I cut the Coca-Cola logo off the sleeve to keep the suspense going a little bit longer.)

Here we have the newly-promoted Bundesliga team, Hoffenheim. I didn’t really expect this one to go unguessed.

Yes, as guessed by a lot of people, this is Parma, currently plying their trade in Serie B.

Let’s see… Who could this be? The word “Corinthians” printed over and over on the backdrop didn’t give it away or anything, did it? (Oops. That will teach me to actually look at the things I post.) Corinthians play in Brasil’s Série A, promoted again after a dip into Série B last year.

Now we head back to North America. This one belongs to the Kansas City Wizards of the MLS.

If I hadn’t had the magic of Paint, this one might have been a little obvious. As you have probably figured out by now, it’s Real Zaragoza, currently playing in Spain’s Segunda División.
