Weekend Quiz: Name the Footballer Who’s Played at…

We’re going to be shaking up the Weekend Quiz over the next few weeks, making things a little different with a variety of quiz types. If you have any ideas for themes or questions, email me at laurie[at]theoffside[dot]com.

Today’s quiz? Name the player who’s played at… I’ll give you a list of clubs, then I’ll follow it up with a current league, and you’ll give me the player and his current club. So if I say,

Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, currently in La Liga

you will obviously say, “Thierry Henry, FC Barcelona,” (pictured.) Right? Right.

My source for all of these is, of course, the always-reliable Wikipedia, so if there are errors, don’t blame me. Blame the troubled person whose wishful thinking has placed David Beckham at FC Metz. And I am listing loans (but not actually labeling them as loans), and not including youth teams.

hey great idea fro the quiz, but this one was kinda easy compared to the one by ranjeet. i got 11 of them in like 2 mins, without any sources... the mls one i couldnt get though haha, jaime moreno..

I think it's great, if you go by your knowledge rather than google/wiki. Otherwise it's too easy.

i think the point of the game was too go by your knowledge of the players without Wikipedia.

thats how i figured out at least 4 of the players.
