Weekend Quiz: Name the La Liga and Bundesliga Players

By: Laurie | January 10th, 2009

After last week’s mega-quiz, we’re returning to a previous quiz format: All Eyes, All the Time. I may do something else next week. Stay tuned.

I’m a bit nervous about doing a league-specific quiz during the transfer window, but as far as I know, all of these guys are currently playing in either Spain’s La Liga or Germany’s Bundesliga.

How many eyes can you recognize? Answers on Sunday.

Well none of them are Lahm. That would have been too easy with those eyebrows.

I only know 12 is Puyol.

I had a feeling people might have problems with #7 and #9 (who isn’t Ramos, but good guess). Hint: Both are National Team players, but not for countries normally associated with either the Bundesliga or La Liga.

But I am kind of amazed nobody’s gotten #10 yet. He’s somebody you would expect to see on this list. Maybe his eyes don’t look like the rest of his face? :-)

I think #9 is Ruud van Nisterlooy.
Then again he isn’t international and even if he was Holland is closely related to La Liga, what with Real and all.

Why do I get the feeling Yoann Gourcuff or man-parts are going to be somehow involved?

#7 isn’t Eto’o? Odd picture of him, perhaps?

“Then again he isn’t international and even if he was Holland is closely related to La Liga, what with Real and all.”

My thoughts exactly – I really think it’s RvN, but Barca under van Gaal had about 6-7 Dutch players so the hint would be way off then!
