Weekend Quiz: The Defenders

For this week’s quiz, let’s take a look at the unsung heroes of the pitch, the back four. (Or back whatever, if your manager insists in getting creative.) These are the guys who are often next to invisible when they’re doing their jobs well, and most noticed when they screw up. So lets give them a little Weekend Quiz love to make up for the abuse, shall we?

Since “Defenders” is a pretty broad category, all of these guys play in the top leagues of the countries they play in. Most are regular starters, and if any aren’t regular starters at the moment, you’ll probably know them anyway.
