The games you should be following in between the 96 hours you’ll spend watching the Premiership.
Saturday
Columbus vs. New York Red Bull – The Crew are the worst team in MLS, which is saying something considering how much New York sucks. The Red Bull are headed by former US National team coach Bruce Arena so if nothing else you can have fun hearing him swear on the sidelines.
Rushden & D’monds vs. Forest Green – Two games into the English Nationwide Conference season and these two sides find themselves in the relegation zone. If only they would drop Rushden, that D’monds gang would be t’ugh to beat.
Standard Liege vs. Racing Genk – Ignore the fact that your dyslexic eyes want to call them Racing Geek and instead focus on the hatred that will be expressed towards that Judas, Steven Defour, when he returns to take on his former team.
2 de Mayo vs. 12 de Octubre – It is only natural that these two teams in Paraguay play on el 19 de agosto.
Sunday
Corinthians vs. Botafogo – Socrates, Ronaldo and Dunga all played for Corinthians in the past and they could use them today as they find themselves in last place in Brazil. A win today would vault them ahead of Botafogo.
Quilmes vs. Godoy Cruz de Mendoza – Godoy Cruz plays on the road in Argentina, which is probably a good thing since their first home game since being promoted was suspended due to a riot in the stands last week.
