Your guide to the matches you should be following while you try to forget about the 40 hours you put in at work this week.
Saturday
Hearts vs. Inverness CT – By the end of the year, we won’t be surprised if Hearts has 95% of the Lithuanians living in Scotland. The SPL side has a coach, owner and five players from the quaint republic that should never be confused with Latvia.
Chivas vs. Cruz Azul – Two of the most popular teams in Mexico square off in Guadalajara and one of them, Chivas, is named after goats.
Fluminense FC vs. Atletico Paranaense - Antonio Lopes takes over as manager of Fluminense. He is their fifth coach. Unbelievably, the team is in fifth place in Brazil’s top league.
Sunday
Dynamo Moscow vs. FK Tom – Despite having an owner who has spent $100 million on players, Dynamo Moscow is in second to last place in Russia with just two wins in 17 matches. The fire sale has begun with Portuguese goalkeeper Nuno, Nigerian international Joseph Enakarhire, and Brazilian defender Jorge among the players on the transfer list.
NAC Breda vs. Ajax – Our Fan for a Match team is prepared to shock the world by beating an Ajax team reeling from their early Champions League exit.
Malaysia vs. Myanmar – An international friendly featuring two lowly teams. Just don’t call the visitors Burma.
