We’re Messing with you Texas, until you Blog for The Offside
By: Bob | March 30th, 2007
Growing up as a small boy on a farm without electricity, I dreamt of the day when I would be involved with a Web site that had a blog for every MLS team. After years of shoveling manure and milking cows at 4:30 in the morning, that day is nearly here. With a Real Salt Lake Offside blog on the way, we now have every MLS team covered except two: FC Dallas and Houston Dynamo. It would be pretty easy to take a cheap shot and comment about Texans not being able to read and write, but I am above that. Instead I am putting out a call to action. If you know of a Texan (or someone who wants to blog about soccer) living in your neighborhood or even in another city, like Washington DC for example, tell him or her to contact me so I can achieve my boyhood dream.
Thanks as always for stopping by. Hugs and kisses to you and yours.

awwww Bob. You are such a softie and probably THE BIGGEST bullsh*tter in the world of Internet bullsh*t.
From my point of view - until you call the sport that WE gave you - FOOTBALL by its proper name and not socccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer - how the hell can you expect anyone to take the MLS seriously, unless of course your name is David Beckham and you are now sporting a now typical male LA hairstyle!!!
Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Maybe we English shouldn’t have invented the word soccer, and called the game that in the first place…

Hey man, don’t dis the MLS. We brought the world the powerhouses that were the Tampa Bay Mutiny and the Miami Fusion. ManU? Chelsea? Leeds United? Don’t even try it.

No offense to New York, but I’ve always thought that “New York/New Jersey Metrostars” was the worst football club name ever conceived. Even the Mutiny beats that.

Excuse me, Michael, but that’s now the Red Bulls. Being named after a company gets you all sort of street cred with the cool kids.

I think the San Jose CyberRays (former WUSA team) is the worst name in football/soccer history. I don’t even know what a CyberRay is.

The WUSA lasted how much time? Eight seconds? They did have some hella-cool names however, like the Carolina Courage and the Atlanta Beat.
