When Flip Throw-Ins Go Wrong

What’s the last thing you want on a cold, rainy day? How about an front flip followed by a ball fired off your face? This young lad got exactly that, not to mention a firm place in YouTube history. And for his troubles, the ref hives him a stiff slap on the ass. Good times.

What we got is another reminder that when flip throw-ins work, they can be cool. When they don’t, they’re hilarious.

  Lad got most of what he deserved (although the referee spared him the yellow card). Should have given the two yards like he was supposed to instead of trying to impeed the throw. No reason for him to be there. I can’t believe that after getting a bloody nose he was stupid enough to go back and do it again!

  It’s a bit poor that in both cases (including the link at the end), the thrower does not seem to give even a little bit of a shit about the lad who’s nose he just busted.

  They just think “Ah, another throw in”.

  Personally, I think the flip throw-in should be outlawed. It’s not what the framers of the constitution had in mind.

  flip throw should be outlawed because one dumbass kid was standing to0 close to the throw? boo f**ckin hoooo… i thought this was a great video that shows you what you get for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. whats next, outlaw walls on free-kicks because somebody gets blasted in the balls?

  that kid was being a dick for standing so close.. he knew it was possible for him to get hit… again, just like a wall on a free kick.. especially those brave but stupid souls who stand right in front of the ball without giving the 10 yards.. they know there is a possibility they could get hit and they are willing it seems to take that risk….

  i thought this video was hilarious by the way…
