When Football Ads Were Football Ads

As Daryl mentioned, the age of the internet has enabled everything to be a little shorter, quicker and to the point. Unfortunately, many football ads have done more of the same. But remember when they were good? Like, really good? And it was a simple theory too: big shoe company gets tons of stars together, pays obscene amounts of money to have them do incredibly cool shit.

  The cage takes the cake, it was the finest commercial I ever saw. It really is cool to get all these stars together for a little kick around. But then again, any commercial where Edgar Davids is in is pretty impressive. There was a commercial where Edgar dances a bit and for the first time ever I believe does the ‘ball in the shirt and twist’ trick.
