There is a story indicating that once Kinnear recovers, he keeps the job next season. Why? He’s the damn fool, or should I say one of the damn fools, who put Newcastle in this position. His reward is to give him another chance to put them in the Championship?

Good point with regards to Keane’s start at Sunderland. I’m actually watching a documentary on Keano now and there are some parallels there. For Newcastle’s sake I hope Shearer does well.

All he can bring to the squad is optimism and energy.

I’m saying this because I assume he has little with regards to tactics..
