I'm just glad to see him go. Steven Gerrard and I still have nightmares. Cheeky bastard.

I agree, I think 16 million pounds is on the low side. I'm sure there are a LOT of clauses in his contract, like anytime he hits the goal post, Arsenal get five dollars.

I understand the decision of henry, ultimate chance for him to discover an other club. But as a goonner, i think it's a very poor deal 16M? i know he has a bad season, but, i'm pretty sure, he cost more than 16m. Arsenal without Henry, hum... It will not be the same.

tall tale, you have forgotten fabregas to name the obvious, along with big up and comers like clichy and denilson. van persie is more then a force to be reckoned with and now with henry gone i think he'll really get time to shine. freddie ljunberg should go i think unless he can attain the form he had at his ealrier years with the gunners. gilberto and toure are the vets on this side now and i think its up to them along with wenger to nurture this potentially world-smashing team.

Wait a minute. Henry leaving isn't exactly the best thing that happened to the Gunners. Henry was the face of the team, when thinking of Arsenal you dont think of Alex Hleb (who is good). Arsenal won't finish bottom-pool this year, they still have good players in Alex Hleb, Tomas Rosicky, Freddy Ljunberg. O yes, and selling Reyes a couple of years before wasn't the best of ideas if you knew you needed a replacement for Henry. Van Persie and Adebayor are good, and with Reyes they would have been almost very good. But now they have a problem. Theo Walcott didn't really live up to his hype, but if you give the kid another year, he'll be good. So if Arsenal wants honors now, do they bring in another striker like Leroy Lita or Babel (Under 21)?
