Winless Macclesfield Town will be Saved by the Ghostbuster

When last we checked in with English League 2 club Macclesfield Town, the team hadn’t won in 14 games and the highlight of the season had been a prank during an FA Cup match. After losing 3-2 to Boston United on Saturday, the winless streak is now at 21 and the possibility that the team will avoid relegation seems dim at best. For the legions of Macclesfield fans who read this blog, and I know there are legions of you out there, I have a simple message: help is on the way.

Sitting in my email box this morning was a message from none other than Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard, the paranormal expert who has saved many a team and many a civilization from disaster. His message, which was sent with the subject line of MIDAS WILL SAVE MACCLESFIELD TOWN, is loud and clear:

He has already worked one miracle this year by saving Wigan Warriors…..and now he is going to work his Midas touch again and save Macclesfield Town.

Dean offered his services back in October and you gave me a mention after I
was turnt down well I am now 100% backing them with or without the clubs backing.

When Dean was contacted by over 40 Wigan fans they had only won 2 in 16
matches and were rock bottom of Super league, from that day Wigan won 9 from
10 and stayed in the top division…now with Macclesfield rock bottom and
with no win in 21 matches Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard will save the day again.

After making millions from a Nigerian businessman who sent me an email last week, I am willing to believe in miracles and am willing to trust in the Midas man’s abilities to bring prosperity to Macclesfield Town. After all, this is a man whose Web site claims:

• Backed Southend United’s miracle win over Manchester United in the Carling Cup;
• Helped West Ham snap their 8-game league losing streak earlier this season;
• Has thrown his weight behind David Beckham’s return to England’s national team;
• Has tapped Darlington to finish in the top 6 this season (They are currently in 8th place in League 2);
• Led the Chicago White Sox to their first World Series in baseball since 1917.
