Winter Wonderland: Naked Balls & Snowfans

Or is it the other way ’round?

With global warming taking over football pitches all across Europe, fans are finding ways to make the football experience more fun through avenues of their own. Like in Germany this weekend. The Bundesliga is in the midst of its winter hibernation so when Hannover 96 and Osnabruck played a friendly, a portly fan decided to bear all to stimulate the crowd around him. Because nothing excites the masses more than naked fat guys.

Then in Spain, with Madrid enjoying a massive, massive dump of global warming, Atletico Madrid fans, posterchildren for good behaviour, decided to have the good times their team weren’t showing them by pelting the pitch with snowballs in anger. This ended up delaying the game and sparked a hushed response from Javier Aguirre which sounded an awful lot like “bastards cleared the snow from the sidelines or else I would’ve too”.

Clearly this shouts one distinct message: we need more winter football, not less.
