YouTube Video Inspires Shunsuke Nakamura’s Goal

lonelygirl15-rumbled-lg2.jpgIt turns out the YouTube is more than just softcore porn for the teenage crowd and football bloggers. It is also a teaching tool. Celtic star Shunsuke Nakamura recently discovered a nifty little move — in between watching Lonelygirl15 and the ubiquitous Best Penalty Kick Ever — that served as inspiration for his goal against Dundee United on Boxing Day.

Said Nakamura:

“The reason I tried to do what I did at the goal was because I saw someone else do exactly the same on the internet. I saw footage on YouTube of a player, I can’t remember who it was, chip the goalkeeper from that position. I thought I would try to do the same if I got the chance because it was a goal I really liked. So I was happy I was able to do the same and score.”

The power of the Internets is awe inspiring. Just remember kids, you shouldn’t imitate everything you see on YouTube at home.

Forget LonelyGirl15 and the teenybopper melodrama...

AppleMilk1988 is muuuchhh better YouTube fare; more fun for Naka too, as she speaks fluent Japanese in many of her vblogs and clips.
