Zizou: The Next da Vinci

Mere days after trumpeting the decline of virals and return of quality ads, are we allowed to feature a viral? Sure, if it’s got Zinedine Zidane starring as the prodigious Renaissance Man.

Befitting half the French cinema enjoyed by these eyes, it takes eons for anything to happen before the climax comes and goes with the snap of the finger, while we’re left wondering “what the fuck was that?!?!?!“. That, as some would say, is Zizou being Zizou. Or maybe just cleverly executed CGI.

This is for an optics company, the never misleading Grand Optical. A little kid spies Zizou wearing, you guessed, glasses and he obliges the boy in all sorts of fantastical things. The video above is of Zizou tickling the ivory; the edition below of Zinedine auditioning for a spot on ESPN2’s epic midday billiardathons; and the third, here, involves Zizou in the back of a car flipping a deck of cards like a Vegas magician. All of which is entirely about lenses and not ridiculous natural ability.

So when’s Materazzi’s cameo?
